Two pedestrians critically injured in separate accidents

Two separate vehicle collisions left two pedestrians in critical condition Thursday night, Las Vegas police said.

The first incident occurred in the northeast valley at 6:49 p.m. at 5230 E. Craig Road, near Nellis Boulevard, said Lt. John Liberty.

Liberty said an older man in a wheelchair was struck by a vehicle.

The second incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. at 3121 Las Vegas Blvd. South, near Desert Inn Road, when a male pedestrian was running east across the street and was struck by a BMW, Liberty said.

Both incidents were under investigation Thursday night.
