Hot fuss: Woman arrested after boyfriend’s clothes burned

A woman was arrested Thursday and faces an arson charge after settling a fight with her boyfriend by burning his stuff, officials said.

The Clark County Fire Department was called out to a smoke detector alarm about 1 a.m. at 7565 Camero Avenue, near Buffalo Drive and Windmill Lane.

Upon arriving at the house, they found a fire in an upstairs bathroom. The woman living at the house told firefighters she set fire to her boyfriend’s clothing in the bathtub after a domestic dispute, according to fire department officials.

The fire caused about $15,000 in damage. There was severe damage to the bathroom.

The woman was medically checked out by fire paramedics on scene before being taken into custody and transferred to the Clark County Detention Center, where she will face a charge of first degree arson.
