Motorcyclist dies after clipping another vehicle

A motorcyclist died Tuesday night after police say he was seen traveling at a high rate of speed across valley roadways.

Las Vegas police initially received reports of a reckless motorcycle driver near Alta Drive and Buffalo Drive shortly after 4:30 p.m.

A police helicopter spotted the man who was traveling between 95-110 mph, weaving in and out of traffic, and doing wheelies along several Las Vegas roads and highways.

Police said he clipped another vehicle near Tropicana Avenue and Paradise Road and lost control of his motorcycle.

He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died about 7:45 p.m., according to police.
