Police respond to suicide at the Silverton

A man committed suicide at the Silverton casino Wednesday night, Las Vegas police say.

Police got the call just before 7:30 p.m. and responded to the Silverton, where they found a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound on the ground floor of the parking garage, Lt. Barb Schmidt said.

The man was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Security footage recorded the shooting and no foul play is suspected, Schmidt said. The gun was found at the scene.
