Three injured in Henderson after stolen SUV crashes

Three people were injured early Sunday morning after a man driving a stolen vehicle crashed into a barrier wall and another car near St. Rose Parkway and Interstate 15 in Henderson.

Nevada Highway patrol got a call just after 5 a.m. Sunday that a man driving a stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading into Las Vegas from California, according to NHP Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel.

At 5:49 a.m. a trooper spotted the stolen SUV, and a minute later the Jeep crashed into a sedan and a barrier wall. The 21-year-old driving the Jeep and the two occupants of the sedan were taken to the University Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, Stuenkel said.

At 8 a.m. Westbound St. Rose and the I-15 on- and off-ramp for St. Rose were still closed while NHP investigated the crash.
