Woman shot, killed in convenience store parking lot

One woman is dead after a Thursday evening shooting at a Las Vegas convenience store.

Las Vegas police responded at 5:49 p.m. to reports of a woman who was shot in the chest in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven in the 2600 block of West Sahara Avenue, near Interstate 15.

The woman, who was in her car at the time of the shooting, was transported to University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, according to Lt. John Liberty.

Metro’s homicide section was en route to the scene at 6:45 p.m.
