74-year-old Arizona pedestrian struck, killed

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A 74-year-old pedestrian was fatally injured when struck by a vehicle in north Kingman on Tuesday.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said the accident in the 2800 block of Northern Avenue was reported at 6:45 p.m.

Spokeswoman Trish Carter said Sharon Delores Haynes, of Kingman, was in the roadway and crossing Northern Avenue when struck by a westbound Toyota pickup. Haynes died of her injuries at Kingman Regional Medical Center.

Carter said neither speed nor alcohol are considered factors in the accident, which remains under investigation.
