Police find 5-foot alligator during pot investigation

Las Vegas police discovered an alligator Friday during the investigation of a marijuana grow house near South Decatur Boulevard and West Windmill Lane.

The alligator, about 5 feet long, was found by police in a house in the 8000 block of Wards Ferry Street, said Clark County spokesman Dan Kulin.

Kulin said the alligator was picked up by animal control and turned over to the Nevada Department of Wildlife.
