Police search for suspect in Flamingo Road stabbing


Las Vegas police are searching for a suspect in a stabbing in the 8200 block of West Flamingo Road on Friday.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center and was in serious to critical condition, according to police.

Police received a call around 6:30 a.m. from a caller who said his friend had been stabbed near a Green Valley Grocery on Rochelle Avenue and Cimarron Road.

The call from the victim’s friend came came about five minutes after another call reporting that two men had been fighting in the street in a nearby residential area on Mammoth Creek Drive, southeast of the convenience store. During the phone call, the caller told police that the men were leaving. Units were not dispatched to the scene of the fight.

Police believe the two incidents are related. Investigations are ongoing.
