Congressional candidate Jacky Rosen proposes two debates with opponent Danny Tarkanian

Democratic congressional candidate Jacky Rosen on Tuesday proposed two debates with 3rd Congressional District opponent Republican Danny Tarkanian.

In a letter sent by Rosen’s campaign manager David Furr, the campaign laid out two debates. One would be jointly hosted by NBC and the Spanish television station Telemundo. The second would be on KTNV-TV, Channel 13 and moderated by political journalist Jon Ralston.

“The district has a growing Latino population, and it’s important for these voters to have an opportunity to hear directly from their candidates for Congress,” Furr said in the letter.

Furr proposed holding both debates in October, “when Nevada voters are paying the most attention and undecided voters are making up their minds.”

Tarkanian’s campaign did not respond to requests for comment.
