Hillary Clinton to visit Henderson on Saturday
February 12, 2016 - 4:46 pm
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will visit Henderson on Saturday morning.
Clinton's event comes one week before the Feb. 20 Democratic caucuses, when Nevada voters will indicate their preference for who should get the Democratic nomination.
The event is billed as a labor rally and canvass launch. It starts with a rally at Painter's Hall, 1701 Whitney Mesa Drive, Henderson. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
Nevada's role in selecting the Democratic nominee comes at a crucial time in a two-way race for the nomination. Clinton eked out a close win in the Iowa caucuses, while fellow Democratic candidate U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., won the New Hampshire primaries.

Republicans will caucus on Feb. 23. For the GOP, Nevada is the fourth state in the election cycle, following Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
