Race 2 - 6 furlongs, $100,000 Los Angeles Handicap, 3-year-olds and up

4 Wild Dude - Did everything but win last time in the Potrero Grande; this is a tiny, but evenly balance, field.

1 Wine Police - Peter Miller adding blinkers on for this; expect Victor Espinoza to ride aggressively from the wood.

Long Shot - 2 Cyclometer

Race 3 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), Purse $32,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up

8 Koast - Has a lot of back class where this level should be easy picking for him; will sit a trip and come flying fast late.

7 Candy’s Sunrise - Los Alamitos trainer ships up to the big track today; Los Al is, of course, the home of California Chrome.

Long Shot - 6 This One’s for Mel

Race 4 - 6 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up

4 Forest Romance - FTS from the cagey Bobby Wayne Grayson barn; watch the tote board for additional clues.

8 Time for a J - Showed much improved early speed last time out; expect him to be sent hard to the front again tonight.

Long Shot - 3 Celestial Image

Race 5 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $58,000, Cal-breds, Optional claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up

6 Volkonsky - Tiny edge to a horse that is not big on winning; in fact, most in today’s field is not big on winning.

1 Poshsky - Saving ground in turf racing is a valuable strategy; Peter Miller and Victor Espinoza teaming up again.

Long Shot - 5 Benba

Race 6 - 7 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up

2 Mavericks Guns - Do you remember the original Maverick brothers, Bret and Bart; like the cut back in distance from mile to sprint.

1 Stormin Lute - Not many trainers claim from the white icon Bob Baffert; thing is it’s difficult to improve off his training.

Long Shot - 3 W. Giles

Race 7 - 1 1/8th miles (turf), $300,000 Gamely, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

6 Miss Serendipity - Just have a feeling this is a good spot for a big upset; Brice Blanc has had a lot of close calls of late.

8 Emollient - Logical chalk ships in for HOF Bill Mott; this is an average division sh she’s shipped out west before.

5 Bonus Spin - Jeff Mullins has an uncoupled entry so caveat emptor; this one cost $125K at the sales.

2 Afleet Echo - Beaten favorite ran like a green baby, slow early, but fast late; expect improvement second time out.
