Players to watch:

* Professional poker players Doug Polk and Ryan Fee own a sizable chip lead in the $1,000 buy-in Tag Team No-limit Hold ’em event with nine teams remaining. The duo has more than twice as many chips as the second-place team of John Gale and T.J. Shulman. England’s Benny Glaser remains alive for his third bracelet this summer despite not even playing on Day 2 of this event. His team, with pros Owais Ahmed, Bart Lybaert and Adam Owen, sit in seventh place. The team of professional poker player and author Jonathan Little and his parents are in ninth.

* Brothers Michael and Robert Mizrachi are second and third in chips, respectively, with 20 players remaining in the $25,000 buy-in High Roller Pot-limit Omaha event. The Mizrachis unforgettably made the final table of the 2012 Poker Players Championship together and also were at the same table on Day 3 of this year’s PPC event. Ludovic Geilich of Glasgow, Scotland, leads the field, which also includes top pros Ryan D’Angelo, Paul Volpe, Tommy Le and Dan Smith.

* China’s Yue Du holds a commanding chip lead with six players remaining in the $5,000 buy-in No-limit Hold ’em event. Du eliminated Kane Kalas in 10th place as the two tournament leaders at the time tangled in a massive pot, and he will have more than half of the chips in play when action resumes. Three-time bracelet winner Dominik Nitsche of Germany is in second place, while top pros Natasha Barbour and Ismael Bojang also are at the final table.

* The $111,111 buy-in High Roller for One Drop No-limit Hold ’em event will draw a who’s who of poker lumanaries and well-heeled amateurs for the most expensive event of the summer, which benefits the One Drop charity. Jonathan Duhamel took down last year’s High Roller tournament and the first prize of almost $4 million.

* The $1,000 buy-in WSOP.com Online No-limit Hold ’em event should include a bevy of top pros, and some awesome screen names, too. Last year’s final table included “GringoLoco72” and “Stonerboner” and was won by Anthony “Casedismised” Spinella.

Thursday’s highlights:

* David Prociak of Kissimmee, Florida, continued his recent string of successful results by winning the $1,500 buy-in Seven-card Stud Hi-Low/8 or Better event ($156,546) for his first career bracelet. The 33-year-old small business owner has more than $600,000 in live tournament winnings since October of last year, including three WSOP cashes. Two-time bracelet winner Brandon Shack-Harris, who played the tournament while wearing a polar bear costume, finished as runner-up.
