Dashcam catches cop ‘testing’ dashcam — VIDEO

Thank our collective lucky stars for dashcams in police cars.

To our viewing delight, they’ve caught some cops keeping it real. You have the officer in Deleware lipsyncing to Taylor Swift while out on patrol. Now, we’ve got an officer in Missouri strutting his stuff to what is likely one amazing tune in his head.

The Smithville Police Department posted the video on Facebook of the unidentified officer “testing” his dashcam.

“Officer(s) check their video equipment to verify it’s working,” the department wrote. “Sometimes they get creative.”

Uh, yes they do.

Instead of the standard, “Check. Check. 1, 2, 3. Check. Check,” we get doot-doots, rhythmic snapping and some fancy footwork.

I swear that’s John Travolta in a police uniform. Or maybe this is the yet to be released trailer for “Magic Mike XXL.”

Or… not.
