Big B’s Texas BBQ brings Lone Star-style fare to Henderson

At Big B’s Texas BBQ, you can get authentic Texas barbecue without having to visit the Lone Star State.

Nightlife veterans Natalia Badzjo and Brian Buechner opened the family-friendly restaurant this year at 3019 St. Rose Parkway, Suite 130. The eatery offers a variety of meats, including the traditional cuts of brisket, ribs, pulled pork and chicken. In addition, tri-tip, smoked turkey, hot links and salmon are on the menu.

Most cuts are dry-rubbed with a house seasoning and smoked for hours over Mesquite and oak wood purchased from South Texas, where Buechner was raised. The open kitchen invites customers to watch their meat be cut, weighed and plated.

The dining room transports you to a backyard setup complete with picnic tables, a picket fence and music. Diners can sip cold beer ($4 to $5) or glasses of wine ($5 to $12) as they wait for their food.

Plates, sandwiches and salads are served with a choice of two sides and cost between $7.99 and $17.99. A la carte meat options are also available and range from $7.99 for a half order to $36 for a full order. Sides include all the barbecue necessities, such as corn on the cob, french fries, mac and cheese and potato salad.

They say things are bigger in Texas, and barbecue is definitely no exception.

Big B’s Texas BBQ is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Visit bigbztexasbbq.com or call 702-260-6327.
