Aquatic classes: High School Tune-up swim classes are planned through Feb. 20 at Municipal Pool, 431 E. Bonanza Road. The classes are meant to teach and improve swimming techniques and build endurance by learning how to use a diving block and make flip turns. Students will also learn swim meet etiquette and how a meet is run. Friday class from 6 to 7:30 p.m. will focus on strokes and technique, and Saturday class from 9 to 10:30 a.m. will focus on endurance, starts and turns. The tune-up classes are $4 per visit. The pool also plans to offer American Red Cross Lifeguard Training classes for those 15 or older on weekends or nights beginning in January.
