Literary Las Vegas: Karen Cerio
Karen Cerio shares her appreciation and love for family, friends and "our Lord Jesus" in "Life's Dusty Roads," a book of reflective, personal poetry that covers a variety of topics from sharing the sorrow of losing a friend to cancer to coming to terms with empty nest syndrome. Raised in a small town in Kansas, Cerio and her husband traveled extensively overseas and in the United States before settling in Las Vegas.

and holding hands
Long evening strolls
listening to bands
Children laughing
waking at night
Saying the wrong thing
having a fight
Looks of passion
with hearts on fire
Kindling sparks
of heated desire
All of the love,
laughter, and tears
