Jump start the new year by changing water filter

As many consumers rang in 2010, resolutions were made to start the year off on the right foot — whether to live better or keep on top of household chores. Speak ‘feely’ about project before hiring designer

The trees have long since shed their leaves and new buds have begun their irrepressible march to the surface. The gardening tools are already on display along with Valentine’s Day gift ideas and despite an atmosphere of economic uncertainty, homeowners are once again beginning to take a look around and thinking hard about home-improvement projects and decorating ideas that had long been put on hold.

Just Faux Fun

Only sure bet: NFL hypocrisy

It was at the Super Bowl a few years back, during the commissioner’s annual news conference two days before kickoff, when I asked Roger Goodell about the possibility of an NFL team ever making Las Vegas home.

Rebels’ Jasper out five weeks

An optimist would say UNLV junior Derrick Jasper received a positive injury report Wednesday. His basketball season is expected to continue. But he will miss approximately five weeks, after an MRI examination revealed a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee.
