‘Star Wars’ films to be rereleased in 3-D

NEW YORK — May the force be in 3-D. Lucasfilm announced the “Star Wars” films will be rereleased in 3-D. All six films of the saga, beginning with episode one, “The Phantom Menace,” and concluding with episode six, “Return of the Jedi,” are expected to be released in theaters in 2012.

Jimmy Carter to spend 2nd night in Ohio hospital

CLEVELAND — Former President Jimmy Carter will spend a second night in an Ohio hospital for additional medical observation after being whisked from an airplane to an emergency room with an upset stomach. Hospital spokeswoman Susan Christopher declined to say whether Carter’s condition had worsened since he was admitted for stomach problems on Tuesday morning.

Stonehenge skeleton came from Mediterranean

LONDON — A wealthy young teenager buried near Britain’s mysterious Stonehenge monument came from the Mediterranean, scientists said Wednesday, proof of the site’s importance as a travel destination in prehistoric times. The teen was unearthed with a cluster of amber beads around his neck. His is one of many foreign remains found around the ancient ring of imposing stones, whose exact purpose remains unknown. The British Geological Survey said the find was dated to 1,550 B.C.
