Jackson’s mother says son was addicted to surgery

CHICAGO — Michael Jackson’s mother says she believes her famous son was addicted to plastic surgery. Katherine Jackson says she even once asked her son’s surgeon to pretend that he’d operated on the pop singer’s nose if he ever asked for another surgery. Jackson said that her son thought he was ugly when he was an adolescent and later “one day made up his mind to get his nose done.”

MSNBC says Olbermann will be back on air Tuesday

NEW YORK — MSNBC says Keith Olbermann will be back on the air Tuesday, ending his suspension for violating NBC’s rules against making political donations after two shows. MSNBC’s chief executive Phil Griffin said late Sunday that after several days of deliberation, he had determined that two days off the air was “an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy.”
