Six hurt in multivehicle crash on U.S. 95, southbound lanes closed at Jones

An accident involving several vehicles has ensnared traffic on the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 95 near Valley View Boulevard tonight. The highway is closed at Jones Boulevard and is not expected to reopen for at least one to two hours, according to officials.

Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle on Sahara I-15 off-ramp

A pedestrian was killed Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle on a highway off-ramp. The man, who was not identified, was struck by a Saturn in the Sahara Avenue exit off-ramp of Interstate 15 at about 2:15 a.m., according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Review-Journal names Bob Brown as new publisher

The Las Vegas Review-Journal on Friday named a new publisher to replace longtime publisher Sherman Frederick. Bob Brown, advertising director of the newspaper since 2001, was named publisher of the newspaper effective immediately.
