Former UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian suffered a mild heart attack around 5 p.m. and is recovering at MountainView Hospital. Tarkanian, 81, was alert and joking after being moved into intensive care, according to his daughter, Jodie Diamant, who was with him the entire time.
