Clark County on Tuesday recorded 298 new coronavirus cases and 19 deaths as three of its four key metrics showed day-over-day declines.
Despite the high daily numbers, three of the state’s four leading metrics for the disease caused by the new coronavirus have been trending slightly lower in recent weeks.
The record totals since the state halted weekend reporting in mid-April came as the state test positivity rate for the disease jumped to 13.5 percent.
New cases were higher than the two-week moving average of new cases, which increased to 271 per day. The new report pushed the state’s case total to 313,680.
