Las Vegas morning update for Sunday, September 16th — VIDEO

Here are your Sunday morning headlines:

1. North Las Vegas police are investigating after a man died attempting to intervene in a convenience store robbery Saturday. Police say a woman entered the store and stole several items before getting into a dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee with California plates. As the man tried to stop her from leaving the scene, he was hit by the Jeep. He was taken to University Medical Center where he died.

2. A pedestrian is in critical condition after being pinned between two cars Saturday morning. Three vehicles collided near the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road, when the pedestrian was hit. The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, as well the driver of one of the vehicles with survivable injuries.

3. Questions still linger after a Clark County School District police officer used pepper spray to break up a fight after the Canyon Springs-Basic High School football game Friday night. According to the CCSD police department, the unidentified officer has not been placed on any type of administrative leave, and the department stands by the officers decision. The commissioner of the Southern Nevada Officials Association, said his group is reviewing the incident, but did not provide a timetable for any disciplinary decisions.
