Las Vegas police investigating crash involving pinned pedestrian

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was pinned between two vehicles Saturday morning in the western valley.
At 10:25 a.m., three vehicles collided near the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road. As a result, one of the vehicles struck a pedestrian, pinning the victim between two cars, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Nate Chio said.
The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit, Chio said. The pedestrian had serious injuries but was expected to survive. A driver of one of the vehicles was also taken to the hospital with survivable injuries.
No other details were immediately available.
