Las Vegas Valley to cool off heading into weekend

Temperatures in the Las Vegas Valley are expected to drop slightly Friday and Saturday before heating up again early next week.

Thursday has a forecast high of 87 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Friday, which shows a forecast high of 79, could see gusts up to 30 mph, the weather service said. Saturday could be breezy with a high of 76.

Temperatures will start to rise Sunday with an expected high of 85. Both Monday and Tuesday are expected to reach 89.

The weather service said no rain is expected in Las Vegas this week.
