Las Vegas Valley sees first 90-degree day of 2018

Updated April 7, 2018 - 7:19 pm

The Las Vegas Valley recorded its first 90-degree day of the year on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

“This is the first time we hit 90 this year, with the last 90 degree day being Oct 23 2017,” the agency said in a tweet.

The warm weather won’t last long, though.

A high of 83 is forecast Sunday and Monday, followed by highs near 86 on Tuesday and Wednesday, meteorologist Ashley Wolf said.

As a cold front sweeps the valley midweek, Wolf said, highs are expected to linger in the lower 70s.
