Injured hiker rescued from Red Rock Canyon

An injured hiker in Red Rock Canyon was rescued early Monday morning.
Police received a call reporting an injured hiker in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area about 3:50 p.m. Sunday, Metro spokesman Larry Hadfield said. The hiker had suffered a leg injury in the Calico Mountain area, Hadfield said.
The hiker was transported to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, he said.
