1 wounded in central valley shooting, Metro says
A man was hospitalized Thursday after being shot in the central valley, according to Las Vegas police.
Metro responded to the shooting at 1:55 p.m. in the 5900 block of West Smoke Ranch Road, near the intersection of Jones Boulevard, police spokesman Officer Larry Hadfield said. The wounded man was taken to University Medical Center.
His condition was not released.
One person was taken into custody, Hadfield said, and the shooting is still under investigation.
