Pedestrian sleeping in parking lot before being hit, police say

A crash in the northwest part of the valley, Sunday morning sends one to the hospital, according to Las Vegas police.

Police responded to the crash about 6 a.m., to the Wells Fargo at 7100 North Durango Drive near Elkhorn Road, a pedestrian was sleeping in the parking lot when a car crashed into the pedestrian, Metropolitan Police Department officer CJ Jenkins said

The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, Jenkens said.

Police performed a standard accident investigation, he said.
