North Las Vegas police said they were investigating a homicide Friday after a man was found dead near Main Street and West Owens Avenue.

According to a news release from the North Las Vegas Police Department, officers responded to a call just before 9 a.m. Friday before finding a man dead at Webb Avenue and Stocker Street.

Police said a suspect fled before officers arrived. The name of the man had not been released as of Friday evening.
