KINGMAN, Ariz. — Pursuit of a wanted man led to a fatal traffic accident in Kingman Tuesday.

Police officers were pursuing a vehicle driven by the fugitive when the suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle about 5 p.m., said Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves.

The driver of the vehicle that was not involved in the pursuit was fatally injured in the crash at North Bond Street and Packard Avenue, he said. She was identified as Linda Chevalier, 74.

The driver and a passenger in the suspect vehicle were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

Kingman police identified the suspect driver as Robert Dodd, 41, named in arrest warrants on an assortment of charges including assaulting a police officer, kidnapping and endangerment.

Graves said a state investigation continues, but that the agency was unable to release further details.
