Workers continued demolition operations at the shuttered Riviera on Friday, making progress toward the scheduled demolition of the towers in June and August.

The site is being cleared for expansion of Las Vegas Convention Center facilities.

Police said the man crashed into a Ford SUV while under the influence, killing chef Julio Nave-Giron. His arrest report said he was driving over 110 miles per hour.
