The game everyone expected to materialize between UNLV and Saint Katherine came to fruition by halftime Friday night at Orleans Arena. And Dantley Walker knew he would have a hand in the 113-53 smackdown the Rebels administered to the NAIA Firebirds.

Friday night’s game against UNLV was essentially a chance for the St. Katherine Firebirds to gain valuable experience on the court and bring some money into the fledgling school’s coffers. It also provided an opportunity for Basic High School alum Jaylen Rose to play a college game in Las Vegas.
UNLV guard Jordan Cornish, making a spot start on Friday night because of injuries to Jelan Kendrick and Rashad Vaughn, was phenomenal.
The Rebels host St. Katherine from San Marcos, Calif. at the Orleans Arena tonight at 7:00 p.m.
