Las Vegas police were searching for a suspect in the death of a driver found shot after crashing on the 215 Beltway Thursday. The suspect, 27-year-old Joseph Lucero, had argued with the driver earlier that night at Lucero’s apartment on the 7200 block of Las Vegas Boulevard South, near the 215, police said.

A Nevada prison inmate died Thursday after nearly three weeks in the hospital. Daniel Ruiz, 36, was taken to Valley Hospital after a fight with another inmate on Feb. 28. The man who died in an apartment fire Wednesday morning in southern Las Vegas has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office. Thomas Edward Sinclair, 63, died in his home at 5355 Edmond St., near Hacienda Avenue and Decatur Boulevard. Firefighters found his body after the fire was put out about 3:30 a.m.
