Constable’s office opens case on out-of-state vehicles

The man wearing a blue-gray uniform and a gold star badge pounded on the front door. He appeared to be with a law enforcement agency, so the girls, 11 and 19, opened up.
The man asked questions about a vehicle with a California license plate that had been in the driveway a while ago. Then he inquired about the vehicle with a Texas plate in the driveway. Both vehicles had been at the house for a total of five days. The man behind the badge apparently never identified which agency he was with and did not leave a business card.

Hotel California Restaurant and Cantina is now open and bringing the beach-casual style and tastes of Baja California to the Summerlin area. The 8,818-square-foot space accommodates 268 people seated and 600 cocktail style.

Sunrise area targeted for mass spaying/neutering program

Operation Clean Sweep, a new program operated by the nonprofit Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, is setting out to spay or neuter up to 2,400 free-roaming/feral cats in the ZIP codes 89156 and 89115. Residents of the targeted ZIP codes also may be eligible for $10 spay or neuter services for their own cats.
