Boyd CEO Smith appointed to SkyWest board
Boyd Gaming Chief Executive Officer Keith Smith was one of two new board members appointed Tuesday to SkyWest Inc., a St. George, Utah-based company that operates regional airline operators SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines.
Smith is president, CEO and a director with Boyd. He was named CEO in 2005 and has been with the company since 1990.
Ronald Mittelstaedt, the chairman and CEO of Waste Connections, was also named to the board.
SkyWest serves markets in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean through both airlines, operating approximately 4,200 daily departures and a fleet of approximately 760 regional aircraft.
