Cashiers at The Orleans sue, say they were forced to work off the clock

Two restaurant cashiers at The Orleans filed a federal lawsuit on Wednesday claiming that owner Boyd Gaming repeatedly forced them to work 30-to-45 minutes off the clock each shift.
The complaint, filed by Kathy Belmonte and Maria High, contends that the unpaid overtime resulted from company policy, resulting in numerous complaints over several years but no changes. Their attorney seeks class action status on behalf of approximately 500 cashiers at Boyd’s 21 properties for unspecified compensation.
A company spokesman declined to comment.
