Riviera liquidation sale scheduled for May 14
Interested in claiming a piece of Las Vegas history?
Perhaps a chandelier or wet bar from the now-closed Riviera on the Strip?
A liquidation sale of furnishings from the property that closed on Monday is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. May 14.
What’s up for sale?
There will be flat-screen televisions of all sizes, king and full-size Serta Perfect Sleeper pillow-top beds, Kimball granite-top chests and desks, nightstands and writing desks.
Not to mention game tables, pictures, mirrors, lamps, chairs, sofas, love seats, end tables, coffee tables, sofa tables, dining tables and chairs, chandeliers and sconces, wet bars, bar stools — even bathroom fixtures from the property’s 2,075 rooms.
There will also be items from the four theaters, lobby furnishings, store fronts, office furnishings, pool and patio furnishings and sports memorabilia.
The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and Saturday, and also from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday until everything is gone. There will be a $10 admission charge.

The Rivera closed after a 60-year run on the Strip. The 23-story hotel, the first high-rise resort on the Strip, was purchased in February by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority for $182.5 million.
The property will become part of a revamped convention center complex, the $2.3 billion Las Vegas Global Business District.
