Largest Mixer to be at Riviera Wednesday
The 10th annual Las Vegas’ Largest Mixer, a collaboration of local chambers of commerce and business organizations, will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Riviera Hotel, 2901 Las Vegas Boulevard South.
This “meganetworking” event will provide the opportunity for businesses to foster new relationships, build business leads and gain a better knowledge of the vast number of business networking groups in the Las Vegas area. More than a dozen area chambers of commerce and business organizations, including industry leaders as well as networking groups, are participating sponsors.
“With the economy the way it is these days, your network is basically all you have to rely on,” event supporter Joel Jarvis said. “Las Vegas’ Largest Mixer is … as good as networking gets in Las Vegas. Lots of serious businesspeople, business groups, and community business leaders, all in one room for one reason: business.”
The event is open to all businesspeople with the goals being to allow for growth, both individually and as an organization, and encourage membership in the business organizations represented.

BizCONNECT launches
The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance and economic development partners has launched a new “BizCONNECT” program to help retain and expand local businesses.
BizCONNECT connects economic development professionals and business owners, allowing economic development professionals to hear problems firsthand and subsequently work to solve those problems and improve the local business climate.
The kickoff presentation, which took place Sept. 8 at the Innevation Center, highlighted the new program and how it will benefit local businesses in the Las Vegas Valley. Most jobs are created when local firms expand, and BizCONNECT is a way to help local businesses solve problems, grow their networks, realize expansion opportunities, and help increase jobs and the economy in Southern Nevada.
