Las Vegas Monorail riders can now get discounts on Lyft

Updated October 19, 2017 - 8:57 pm

Las Vegas Monorail and ride-sharing app Lyft are teaming up for an offer to increase ridership with both transportation modes.

Anyone who purchases the Monorail’s full-price, unlimited ride pass for $12 will receive a special code for a $5 discount with Lyft, officials with the Las Vegas Monorail said Thursday.

“This partnership with Lyft bridges the transportation gap and allows our customers to extend their journeys easily and economically to the airport, downtown and beyond,” Ingrid Reisman, a Monorail vice-president, said in a prepared statement.

Online purchases are available at https://tickets.lvmonorail.com/lyft. The Monorail has seven stops at MGM Grand, Bally’s, Flamingo, Harrah’s, the Las Vegas Convention Center, Westgate and SLS Las Vegas.

Single rides on the Monorail cost $5, but local residents can purchase the fare for $1.
