Nevada State Bank reopening Mountain’s Edge branch

Nevada State Bank is celebrating the reopening of its Mountain's Edge branch at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

The branch, at 9305 S. Cimarron Road, closed in May 2013 according to spokeswoman Lenora Kaplan. She said that during the recession other local businesses in the area were closing, branch activity was decreasing and property values "were hit particularly hard," which prompted the bank to shut the branch.

Nevada State Bank still operated an ATM at the location after the closure and decided to reopen the branch after seeing new growth and rebounding home prices in the area, along with an increase in ATM use.

The Mountain's Edge branch will offer free gifts and refreshments March 1-4 and Mix 94.1 will be at the branch on March 16 for its grand re-opening ceremony with a live broadcast and giveaways.
