Savers thrift store opens sixth Las Vegas Valley location

Savers, an international thrift store chain with 270 locations across the United States, Canada and Australia, opened its sixth valley store Thursday.

The new store at 8530 W. Lake Mead Blvd. drew crowds of shoppers on Thursday morning.

The stores carry used men's, women's and children's clothing and accessories and also housewares, electronics and furniture.

The store is 31,703 square feet and also houses a Community Donation Center for residents to drop off reusable clothing and household goods. Savers pays Safe Nest and Big Brothers Big Sisters for every donated item, turning otherwise unused goods into sustainable revenue that supports the organizations' programs and services in the local community.
