Top Places to Work campaign gets under way

Do workers in your workplace have a certain skip to their step in the office?

Does your workplace offer competitive pay and appreciate its employees?

Does your office provide an upbeat environment, a civic-minded approach to the community and benefits or creative perks that make you brag to your family and friends?

Your company might just be a top workplace — and worthy of recognition.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal and the Las Vegas Business Press are accepting nominations from companies in Clark and Nye counties for the coveted Top Workplaces awards.

The program’s first winners were announced last February.

Employers with at least 35 direct and/or contracted workers are invited to participate.

The Review-Journal and the Business Press newspapers are working with a company called Workplace Dynamics to evaluate surveys in three separate categories — large, midsize and small workplaces.

Workplace Dynamics will analyze the information provided by employees who will fill out a 22-statement survey about their workplaces.

Last year, Workplace Dynamics contacted more than 800 businesses and surveyed 42 that agreed to participate.

The workplaces can be private, nonprofit, government or public.

The nomination deadline is Aug. 23 and the winners will be published in February.
