Apple Inc. on Tuesday updated its 12-inch MacBook line of laptops with faster processors, Retina display, Force Touch trackpad and made it available in rose gold color.
The new MacBook is 13.1 mm thin, weighs 2 pounds and has a battery capable of up to 10 hours of wireless Web browsing on a single charge.
The device starts with a price of $1,299.
CNN reported that the 12-inch MacBook comes with the latest 1.1 GHz Intel Core m3 processor and 256 GB of flash storage. The $1,599 version comes with a faster 1.2 GHz Intel Core m5 processor and 512 GB of flash storage.
Apple also upgraded the MacBook Air, CNN reported, giving the 13-inch model more memory. The new MacBook Air start with 8 GB of memory, making it comparable to the new MacBook.
Apple started selling the new MacBooks on its website on Tuesday. They are slated to be in Apple stores and other retailers on Wednesday.
