Henderson police seek suspect in sexual assault

Henderson police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman last month after posing as a police officer.

Police said the man assaulted a 24-year-old woman in the 2000 block of Warm Springs Road. The woman first saw the man in the Wild Horse apartment complex at 2338 Green Valley Parkway. Police think the man followed her to the Warm Springs location.

The woman told police the man told her he was an undercover officer, but he never showed a badge.

The suspect was a black man between 18 and 20 years old, standing about 5 feet 8 and weighing 135 to 150 pounds.

The man had a gap between his upper middle teeth that resembled an upside-down letter "v," police said.

He was wearing a red baseball cap with gray letters spelling "Los Angeles" and a black hooded sweat shirt with zippers and red designs.

He was wearing "gauged" white earrings inserted in his ear lobes,and may have had a crucifix-type tattoo on his chest.
