Inmate, 54, dies at Northern Nevada medical facility

An inmate convicted of assault and lewdness with a child died Friday in Carson City, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.
Johnny Conner, 54, was housed at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center. He died at the center’s regional medical facility, a news release from the corrections department stated.
Conner was committed from Washoe County and was serving a sentence of 10 years to life with the possibility of parole for assault with a deadly weapon and lewdness with a child under 14 years old. He had been in prison since January 2012.
The coroner from the Carson City sheriff’s office will determine Conner’s cause of death.
