One person was shot near Stewart Avenue and Eastern Avenue Tuesday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.
Police received a call from a man who said he’d been shot about 4 p.m. near 28th Street and Stewart Avenue, in Las Vegas police’s Downtown Area Command jurisdiction.
The man said that he was in his car when a person in another car shot at him, police said. When the man got out of his car to see if it had been damaged, he saw he had been shot in the leg.
The Metropolitan Police Department’s gang unit responded to the scene. Police said the man’s injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
