North Las Vegas police search for a suspect in a May 18 violent assault

North Las Vegas police are searching for a suspect in a violent assault.

A 46-year-old man was playing slot machines at a convenience store in the 3000 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North near Cheyenne Avenue about 1:30 p.m. May 18 when another man entered the store and repeatedly punched the man in the head.

Police said the assailant continued his assault by kicking him in the head after he fell.

The victim suffered serious head injuries in the attack, although they were non-fatal and he has since been released from the hospital.

The suspect’s motive remains unclear.

Police described the suspect as black, about 30 years old, of medium height and build. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and jeans.
