One dead, one wounded in Mayan Club shooting

One man died and a woman was injured after being shot at the Mayan Club in Las Vegas early Friday morning, according to police.

Lt. David Gordon said a fight broke out just after 3 a.m. in the parking lot of 2797 Maryland Parkway when several gunshots were heard.

Responding officers found 26-year-old Ned Young suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and a 21-year-old female with a gunshot wound to her foot.

Both individuals were transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center Trauma where Young died, according to Gordon.

A red Corvette was seen driving down Maryland Parkway at a high rate of speed at the time of the incident. Gordon said it is unknown at this time if the vehicle was involved in the shooting.
